Keeping Children Safe Online
Keeping our children safe online is important in today’s society. At home, many of our pupils have access to the Internet via a range of online devices such as mobile phones, tablets, online gaming, YouTube, social networking sites and a variety of chat apps.
Our aim is to support and advise you in teaching your children how to keep safe when online whilst also being able to monitor their usage and access.

Emerging Online Risks
As technology continues to develop, children may encounter emerging online risks, including artificial intelligence (AI) tools, AI chatbots, deepfake images and videos, misinformation and manipulated online content. Through our curriculum and online safety education, we support pupils to think critically about information they encounter online, recognise potential risks and know how to seek help if they are concerned about anything they see or experience online.

The school uses appropriate filtering and monitoring systems to help safeguard pupils when accessing online content in school. These systems support us in identifying and responding to potential safeguarding concerns and are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain effective in protecting children from harmful or inappropriate content.
